Dr. Walker knew she wanted to enter the dental field from a young age. When her sister was only 10 years old, she was hospitalized for an abscessed tooth. It was a scary situation, her sister had so much pain and swelling she struggled to open her mouth to eat or speak. Fortunately, she was referred to a compassionate oral surgeon who immediately cleared their schedule, pulled the tooth, and sent her to the hospital to drain the swelling. As her sister recovered, Dr. Walker learned first-hand the positive impact people in the field of dentistry have on the lives of others. She knew she wanted to do the same thing someday!
Dr. Walker completed undergraduate studies at Augustana College in Rock Island, IL. From there, she attended Oregon Health and Science University for dental school. Currently, she is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Dental Association, which allows her to stay up to date on the latest techniques and technology.
Dr. Walker is engaged! She and her fiancé, Alex, have an adorable Australian Shepherd named Mowgli, who they love very much. She enjoys travel and had the opportunity to study abroad in Ireland for three months, while there she was able to tour several other countries as well.
